Journey to Ten

Journey to Ten

Standing in front of the gates, I dreamt about the journey going to begin with no idea what actually would happen.  I dreamt, of my first salary. I dreamt of gigantic campus, world class facilities, big buildings and parties with friends. I was dreaming when my father tapped on my shoulder and said “come on son! let’s finish with the formalities at the Gate”.  It was 8th August 2005(officially) Monday when I began my journey of corporate world with Infosys, Mysore, but actually on 6th August 2005 5:30 PM, I became the part of Infosys. Along with me there were some 300 to 400 would be employees who were sharing the same dream of earning and spending.

My father came along with me to ensure I wouldn’t have any trouble in beginning this journey. After finishing up with the formalities and verification done, we entered the Infy Campus and to my surprise, it was far more beautiful than it looked to me in the pictures. I felt if I have stepped into some international university campus. With 350-acre of land, Infy Mysore campus boasts as the biggest corporate training facility in the world.

My father and I was having evening tea, then I met one of my best friends ASHA while she was putting efforts  inserting  new sim in her mobile.  Then, our father (sitting on same table) introduced us as batch mates.  After initial hello, how you stuff, we started chatting and chatting till date J

“Abt Asha in 2005, chatterbox, can take down any boy with her words, intellectual, great friend, padaku.. uff.. :P few occasion forgets things which irritates me off course on few occasions.”

Then Asha introduced me to hunk of our group VIKRAM , (in 2005) party boy, fun loving,  hairs parted in middle (like Salaman in Tere Naam), loves sport, try to seek attention of girls around with his style and talks. However, he was outgoing and wonderful, and unlike me, hard-working and dedicated employee who could die for company.  But without his will, no one can make him do things. Therefore, at times no point of arguing him.

We all (Asha, her parents, Vikram, me and my father) finished our snacks and then it was time for parents to leave the campus as announced.  Phew .. I felt hard as first time I had to stay away from my parents. And My father picked up his bag and bid me good by with his blessings and few tear drops in his eye. I felt sad and hugged him tightly but then I had to say him good bye.  I saw Asha sharing the mutual feeling.

Later that evening, after seeing off parents and putting luggage in the allocated rooms, we all gathered for dinner and there we (Asha, Vikram and I) met Aditi and Sashank

“Abt Aditi in 2005, proud mumabian, laughter box, likes to play with her hair streaks, modern and like other Mumbai walas, dressed up in style. Soft spoken, creative and extrovert and hardly show emotions on face.”
“Abt Shashank in 2005: thoughtful, simple, easy going boy, keep his nerves all the time, don’t speak much, supportive, takes time to smile :D”

We became friends instantly and enjoyed every phase of our training at Mysore along with my other friends Shilpa, Siddartha, Shikha, Lalit and other college mates.

On 8th Aug 2015, we will complete 10 years into corporate world, but all the memories of Infy Mysore still stays fresh in our breath. Those were the best days of our life and this ‘Journey to Ten’   was not only full of fun but with hardships, learnings, and promotions at office as well as in personal life.

I would like to thank each one of you who was a part in this journey and wishes you best of luck in coming years.

Many Congratulations on completing 10 years.
Love you all!
Cheers!

Chill in the air

Today I feel chill in the air
Make me realise winters are here...
How time flies, I do wonder
Seasons change and I grow older...
Miss the time we go out and play
lil things give joy and worries no way...
To Relive the old times, I prayer
Today I feel chill in the air !

Tere intezaar main...

neend na aaye raaton ko, subah ke intezaar main
besabri si hai har waqt, unse milne ki pyaas main

karvatein leta hoon, aankhen band karta hoon neend ki talaash main
waqt hai ki gujarta nahin, tham gaya hai ye bhi shayad unke intezaar main...
